James Talarico is a Contract Consultant for MAYA. James started his educational career as a 6th grade teacher at Rhodes Middle School on the westside of San Antonio. He also served as Central Texas Executive Director for Reasoning Mind, an education nonprofit dedicated to equipping classrooms with 21st century technology.
In 2018, James was elected to the Texas House of Representatives becoming the youngest elected official in state government. As a member of the House Public Education Committee, James helped craft House Bill 3, a historic school finance reform package which provided $11.6 billion in new funding for Texas public schools. Born and raised in Round Rock, James is a proud eighth-generation Texan.
