Kassi Longoria is a Staff Consultant for MAYA. Prior to consulting, Kassi worked in non-profit and state government roles and most recently worked for the Texas Education Agency as an Early Childhood Education Program Specialist. She began her career in direct service at a nationally-accredited, high-quality early learning center that served economically disadvantaged children. Since then, her career has focused on areas such as quality improvement in early childhood education, public-private partnerships, evidence-based home visiting programs, child welfare programs, policy implementation, and state and federal grant management. She is passionate about ensuring that all children have access to a high-quality early learning environment during the most critical phase of brain development, the first few years of life.
Kassi was born in Lakenheath, England but was raised in San Antonio, TX. At MAYA, Kassi works with school districts, early learning centers, non-profit organizations, and institutes of higher education on strategic planning and grant management. She is committed to improving outcomes for children and families in Texas and is excited to continue this work in her role with MAYA.
Outside of work, Kassi enjoys live music, traveling, yoga, and spending time with her husband Matt, and their two dogs, Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens.
